Shirley Telles completed M.B.B.S. and subsequently M.Phil and Ph.D. in Neurophysiology from the National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences [NIMHANS], Bangalore, India. Dr. Telles directs research at Patanjali Research Foundation, Haridwar, India. She has 240+ research publications related to the above mentioned areas of research in journals indexed in international bibliographic databases [such as Medline, PsycLit and others], 18 chapters in books and 7 published books. She received an award from The Indian Council of Medical Research, The John Templeton Foundation (www.templeton.org), U.S.A. (January, 2002), and a Fulbright Fellowship (J.William Fulbright Foundation, U.S.A) to study “Functional magnetic resonance imaging in meditators”. Dr. Telles is an enthusiastic practitioner of yoga herself.

Sachin Kumar Sharma completed his Ph.D. in yoga science from the University of Patanjali. At present he is working as a Scientist D at Patanjali Research Foundation. He has worked as a Research Associate in a project entitled “Effect of specific yoga breathing techniques on measures of attention and arousal” funded by the Department of Science and Technology under the scheme Science and Technology of Yoga and Meditation (SATYAM). He has 63 research publications in Pubmed/PsycInfo indexed journals and 3 chapters in book. He was awarded Sushila Thakker Prakruti Mandir Prize for best research investigation in the field of Yoga & Natural Medicine for 2016 in APPI-conference. His main area of research is to study the therapeutic benefits of yoga.

He has worked as a Junior Research Fellow in a project entitled “Research based yoga modules for military personnel to adapt to special environments” funded by Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS). He was awarded Sushila Thakker Prakruti Mandir Prize for best research investigation in the field of Yoga & Natural Medicine for 2020 in APPI-conference. Deepak Kumar Pal completed his master in Neuroscience from Jiwaji University Gwalior (M.P), India in 2008. He joined Patanjali Research Foundation, in February 2016 as an Assistant Scientist. At present, he is working on two institutional funded projects: (i) Relationship between anxiety, depression and symptoms of diseases in a patient’s population, and (ii) Effect of Anulom vilom pranayama (ANYB) on attention and arousal of aged population. He has registered for Ph.D in yogic science at University of Patanjali.

Neerja Katare has completed her Post-graduation in yoga science from the University of Patanjali, Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India in 2018. She joined the Patanjali Research Foundation in February, 2020 as an Assistant Scientist. She is a registered Ph.D. scholar and a senior research fellow in yoga science at University of Patanjali. She qualified University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test- Junior Research Fellowship (UGC NET-JRF) in yoga science. At present she is working on a project entitled “effect of yoga breathing techniques on autonomic and respiratory variables in patients with chronic pain”. She has published two research paper.
